IAMKIDZ - Digital Film Making Program
![]() |
Program Outline
Most children have one thing in common, the love for watching movies. This program capitalizes on their highly creative and imaginative nature. It teaches them to bring some of these ideas forth in the form of a movie. This highly participative program will teach them skills to make a professional-looking movie.
The syllabus is customized from our diploma level film production course to work with the different learning styles of students between the ages of 10-14.
Students will come up with their own story idea, write the script, shoot the movie, then edit the footage and burn it to a DVD. They will learn camera, editing and lighting techniques that are used by industry professionals.
Everyone in the class will be working in teams. Each student will have the opportunity to play the role of director, camera operator and editor. At the end of the program, students will screen their movies in an IAM Kidz Film Festival environment where parents are encouraged to attend.
Upon completion of this course each student will acquire the knowledge of what it takes to create a professional-looking movie.
