IAMKIDZ - Digital Animation Program

Course Objective

Students should gain the basic knowledge of animation principles. This course will also provide exercises and tutorials in developing and generating ideas and animation skills so that students can apply their knowledge in 2D animation. The exercises and tutorial will be hands-on experiences to the students, which will have a main principle focus yet employing basic animation principles and ultimately progress in requirements for characterization, storytelling and filmic structure.

Learning Outcome

Emphasizing on producing character animation, great line test and the ability to create strong narrative storyboarding for the traditional animation production.
Students completing this course must submit work that demonstrates the following level of achievement:
- Able to develop their artistic and creative problem solving skills.
- Able to develop a keen eye for observation.
- A good sense of cinematic timing and structure.
- Able to develop their story telling abilities.
- Is able to use the animation program to express their ideas in a creative outlet.

Tools Needed:

Laptop installed with Adobe Flash CS and above
Internet Connection
A Drawing Tablet (min. Wacom Bamboo) will be helpful but not a necessary

20 lessons (each lesson - 2 hours)
