![]() |
In this day and age, almost every movie we watch contains digital visual effects. Visual Effects is that special magic that only happens on the screen. At I.A.M. Academy, our students learn the secrets of digital visual effects that enable them to mystify the senses and open the mind to seemingly impossible worlds and visions.
What subjects are available?
Diploma in Digital Visual Effects comprises of the following modules:
Motion Graphics Design, Digital Composition, Rendering Passes, and 3D Dynamics Simulation.
What will I learn?
Motion Graphics Design
This module introduces Adobe After Effects, the leading programme used by motion graphics designers, to our students. An understanding of 3D modelling is essential as students will be taught to design opening sequences for television, 3D flying logos, animated film titles and integration of images, 3D models and video sequences.Digital Composition
This module will cover all the basic ins and outs of a digital composition programme and theory. Candidates will learn to use the effects and transition tools, perform colour correction, colour keying and incorporate special visual effects in an efficient and aesthetically pleasing manner. All these skills will be sufficient for the candidates to proceed in compositing their own personal portfolio.Rendering Passes
Rendering is one of the most important process in any 3D animation project. It is the step that determines the major look and feel of a project based on what was created previously in modeling and animation. In this module, candidates are taught management. Sometimes the simplest effects are the ones that produce the most impact with a viewing audience. Good rendering practices will help in ensuring the best possible final outcome.3D Dynamics Simulation
In addition to learning the technical methods involved in producing high-quality effects, it is important to move well beyond basic knowledge of button and tool definitions of dynamic simulation. The goal of this module is to prepare candidates for employment as effects artists/compositors by teaching students how to problem solve their way through real-world tasks and shots.![]() |
