The digital age is upon us and we see art expressed in the most realistic and provocative way in 3-Dimensional space. I.A.M. Academy has the privilege to offer this intensive programme in digital 3D modeling in collaboration with City and Guilds. We have designed our programme for individuals who are keen on learning this new and exciting medium of creative expression or seasoned practitioners who want to assess their level of competency in the craft.

What subjects are available?


Diploma in Digital Modeling comprise of the following modules:
Digital Design Basics, 3D Modeling Basics, 3D Texturing theory, 3D lighting theory, Advanced 3D Modeling, Material Methodology, Rendering Techniques, and 3D Modeling for Computer Games.


What will I learn?


Digital Design Basics

This module is an introduction to the fundamentals of digital design as a foundation for churning out creative ideas and visualization digitally.

3D Modeling Basics

This module is a comprehensive look at the entire work flow of non organic object modeling techniques.

3D Texturing Theory

This module is to develop a basic understanding of different surfaces, materials, textures and its applications.

3D Lighting Theory

The emphasis of this module is to produce convincing yet appealing lighting from simple environments to create mood, focus, atmosphere, time of day and drama.

Advanced 3D Modeling

The main focus of this module is to teach the process of character modeling in the entertainment field. Students learn how to create a character from start to finish, going through the preproduction stages of research, through to its final presentation.

Material Methodology

Introduction to “Hypershade" focuses on the innovative rendering technology, which gives you complete control over the appearance of your rendered objects.

Rendering Techniques

Students will learn how to examine adjusting, tuning and troubleshooting photorealistic rendering through real-world examples.

3D Modeling for Computer Games

This module will present the fundamentals in creating a deformable character for an interactive product.
